Yefim Lipkin, of New Brunswick, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020 at St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 80.
Born in Priluki, Ukraine in 1939, his family had to escape during the World War II and had settled in Bryansk, Russia during the post war years. Yefim received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Bryansk Engineering College. After the graduation he worked as an engineer, and later as the senior engineer, for Kiev Research & Development Corp for 25 years before retiring in 1991.
Yefim came to the United States in June 1991 and resided in New Brunswick, NJ for the last 20 years. He attended Just Home Adult Center where he had many friends and was an avid chorus singer and chess player.
Surviving is his daughter Irina, and her husband Michael Dolgonos of Basking Ridge; his sister Tatiana Azimova of Bronx; his grandchildren Alex and Dina Dolgonos; and his nieces Galina Polyakova and Yanina Chesnakova.
Graveside services were held Friday, April 10th at Beth Abraham Cemetery in East Brunswick. Arrangements were by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. You may sign the online condolence "guestbook" at www.crabiel.com
