Yanira Diaz

Yanira Diaz, of North Brunswick, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 33 years old. Born in New Brunswick, she lived in North Brunswick her entire life.

She was currently a medical assistant for Somerset Surgical Association in Somerville. Previously, she worked for ID Care in Somerset.

Yanira loved nature and enjoyed hiking. She was a fan of Anime. She had an infectious personality and a beautiful singing voice.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are her parents, Nazario and Fidela (Hernandez) Diaz of North Brunswick, her daughter Naylani Diaz, and her siblings, Juan Carlos Diaz of Monroe Twp., Maricruz Diaz, and Christopher Diaz, both of North Brunswick.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 23rd, 10:00 am, at St. Mary of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Remsen Avenue, New Brunswick. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in North Brunswick. A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, from 4:00- 8:00 pm, at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown.
