Wing F Chin

Wing F. (Bill) Chin, of Milltown, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026 at Parker Somerset, surrounded by his loving family. He was 90 years old. Born on February 29, 1936 in Toishan, China, Wing came to America at the age of 15. He attended New Brunswick High School and then proudly served in the U.S Army. He later earned a certificate in Principles of Engineering Technology from Rutgers University in 1964 and an associate degree in Electrical Engineering from Middlesex County College in 1981.

Wing and his beloved wife May moved to Milltown 53 years ago where they built their forever home and raised their four daughters. He worked as a Test Engineer for over 30 years at multiple companies including Westinghouse, Burroughs and Syntrex. He then began a new chapter in his professional life as a real estate agent. He worked over 20 years between Weichert Realty, Coldwell Banker and Rollie Davis, all in East Brunswick, NJ.

Wing was an active member of The First Baptist Church of New Brunswick, NJ. He attended regularly with his family and enjoyed giving back to his community. He was also a member of the Milltown Senior Citizen Center.

Wing had many hobbies that he enjoyed including gardening, photography and playing Mah Jong. His passion for gardening included growing tomatoes and beautiful flowers including peonies that he proudly shared with neighbors and co-workers. His love for photography started as a young teenager and he continued to document his life over the years with over 150 photo albums. Mah Jong began as a game played at yearly holiday gatherings. It later became a weekly tradition with immediate family providing endless hours of immense joy and friendly competition.

Family vacations were very important to Wing. His favorites included summer beach rentals at LBI where he loved to sit in the sun, weekend trips to Atlantic City where he enjoyed delicious buffets, season passes to Six Flags (Great Adventure) amusement park, Labor Day weekends attending the US Open Tennis, and trips to Arizona to visit his daughter and her family.

Wing was a faithful husband, loving father and grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. His love for his wife and daughters remained at the center of his life and will be remembered by all who knew him best.

He is survived by his daughters, Wendy Adams and husband John, Kathleen Gonsalves and husband Raymond, Janet Chen and husband Albert, and Elizabeth Yee and husband Rick. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Benjamin and Abigail Adams, Andrew Gonsalves, Hannah and Katie May Chen, and Maxwell and Zander Yee. He is also survived by his sister, Suey Sieu Yu many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. His family carries forward the love, care, and strength that meant so much to him.

Wing was preceded in death by his wife, May Moy Chin, in 2025, his father, Wing Datt Chin, his mother, Kim Lew Chin, his brother Wing Teung Chin, and his sister Rui Yi Tan. Their memories remained an enduring part of his life.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St at Riva Ave, Milltown, NJ. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 10:00 - 11:00 am at The Crabiel Home for Funerals. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm at Cypress Hills Cemetery, 833 Jamaica Ave, Brooklyn, NY.
