Will C. Adams

September 9, 1954 — April 4, 2025

Middlesex

On Friday, April 4, 2025, the world lost a truly wonderful soul, Will C. Adams, at the age of 70. Born on September 9, 1954, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Will brought joy and warmth to everyone who knew him. He spent his final years in Middlesex, NJ, where he continued to be an active and beloved member of his community.

Will graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 1972 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History, a testament to his lifelong love of learning. As a student, Will travelled overseas extensively and was able to create a new appreciation for the world. In the most recent year, he was able to embark on a new adventure over the sea to Norway and regaled the tales to many he knew.

His life was marked by a profound sense of dedication—not just to his studies, but to his family, his faith, and his community. While acting for his community, Will was a member of the Somerville Fire Department and a longtime member of the Bound Brook and Middlesex Rescue Squads. Will was a lifetime member of the Boy Scouts of America, helping to shape young lives throughout their journey.

Will was an avid Yankee baseball fan and enjoyed going to the Somerset Patriots Games. He was known for playing Santa for many years.

A religious man, Will’s faith played a significant role in his life. He was an active member of the Lebanon Reformed Church in Lebanon, NJ, where he found community and purpose. Will’s passion for music was evident in his involvement with the Deer Ridge Singers, where his voice added a unique harmony to the group.

One of Will’s proudest moments was marrying the love of his life on December 1, 1984, Sheri (Matland) Adams, a partnership that served as a cornerstone of his existence. Their union was a testament to true partnership and love, setting an inspiring example for everyone around them.

Family was at the heart of everything Will did. A loving family man, he leaves behind his cherished children: Erynn Brezin of Middlesex, Kristen Martinez-Key and her husband, Arrahin Key of Milltown, and Kyle Adams and his wife, Teresa Cambra Adams of Barnegat. He is also the ever devoted grandfather (Grumps) to Jose Martinez, Alyana Martinez, Myles Key, Lucien Martinez, Lukya Martinez, Cayden Key, Connor Patterson, Taylor Patterson, Willow Adams, Juniper Adams and almost here grandson. Will was also a loving brother to Alec Adams (Michelle Adams) of Lebanon New Hampshire. Additionally, Will is survived by many extended family members and lifelong friends. His parents, Patricia and John C. Adams, and his sister, Gail Adams, predeceased him, and we find comfort in knowing they are reunited once again.

Friends and family are invited to a Life Celebration of Will’s life, on Saturday, April 12th, from 10:00 – 1:00 pm, at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, located at 170 N. Main Street-at Riva Avenue, Milltown, NJ 08850. A Gathering of Prayer will be held during the visitation at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Will’s name to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org . You may sign the online condolence “guestbook” for Will at www.crabiel.com .

As we gather to honor him, let us remember the laughter and joy he brought into our lives and the love he so generously shared. Will’s spirit will forever remain in our hearts, a testament to a life well-lived and a man deeply loved.
