Wanda "Kitty" Cwynar

Wanda "Kitty" Cwynar , 90 years of age, of Spring Lake, NJ passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Wellington Estates Assisted Living Facility in Wall Twp. Born in the Bronx, NY, Mrs. Cwynar resided in the Somerset section of Franklin Township for many years before moving to Spring Lake.

She was a communicant of St. Peter's the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick and an active member of the church Altar Rosary Society. Kitty was also very active in the Franklin Township Senior Center. A quiet and reserved person, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Daughter of the late William and Katherine Gahagan, she was also predeceased by her much beloved husband, Henry in October of 1994.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in law, Carol Ann and Harold D. Herbert of Point Pleasant, NJ ; her son and daughter-in-law , John and Donna Cwynar of Milltown, NJ; 4 grandchildren and their spouses: Harold D. Herbert II and Laura Dobrzynski of Huntington, Vermont, Sharon and Michael Coburn of Bolton Valley, Vermont, John and Melissa Cwynar Jr.,of Wantage, NJ and Stephanie and Brendan Scher of Austin, Texas; and 3 great grandchildren: Alessa Ann Herbert, John Cwynar III and Tyler Adam Coburn.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Somerset Street in New Brunswick on Wednesday, October 11th at 11:00 AM . Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Relatives and friends may call at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N. Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown, on Tuesday, October 10th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
