Walter S. Mayte, a beloved son, brother, and father, passed away unexpectedly on August 12 2024, at the age of 58. Born on May 23, 1966, Walter dedicated his life to both his family and career, embodying a spirit of love and devotion that will forever resonate with those who knew him.
As a Manager, Walter was known for his reliability and problem-solving skills, earning the respect of his colleagues and the gratitude of those he served. His career exemplified his steadfast work ethic and commitment to ensuring everything ran smoothly, mirroring his approach to life—always working diligently to support and care for his loved ones.
A man of many interests, Walter found genuine joy in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished moments spent crabbing and fishing, often enjoying the tranquility these hobbies offered. In the company of friends and family, he would immerse himself in the excitement of watching his favorite sports teams, proudly cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Mets. These passions brought him joy and provided a way to connect with others, sharing laughter and camaraderie.
Walter is predeceased by his father Paul Mayte Sr.
Walter's greatest love was undoubtedly for his family, especially for his son, Matthew Mayte of Piscataway. Their bond was unbreakable, and the memories they created together will be forever cherished. Walter also held a special place in his heart for his mother, Beverly Mayte of Woodbridge, whose unwavering support shaped the man he became. His siblings, Veronica Orlitta, Richard Mayte, Victoria Eaford, Denise Bruces and his brother Paul Mayte Jr. (From Paul "God bless you, you will be missed. Tell Dad I say hi".)
Will continue to carry his spirit in their hearts, remembering him not just as a brother, but as a friend and an inspiration.
A visitation to celebrate Walter’s life will be held on August 25, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at The Crabiel Home For Funerals, located at 170 North Main Street - at Riva Avenue in Milltown, NJ 08850. It is an opportunity for all who loved him to come together, share stories, and honor the remarkable legacy he leaves behind.
