Virginia A. Vetrecin, of Milltown, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Care One in East Brunswick. She was 80. Born in New Brunswick, she moved to Milltown in 1969 and lived at 341 North Main Street for 51 years.
Before retiring in 2002, Virginia was a secretarial assistant for Rutgers University School of Engineering in Piscataway, for 40 years. She was a member of the Rutgers Silver Knights.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church in Milltown, for 47 years. She was actively involved as a volunteer at Parker Nursing Home. She enjoyed social events and was proud of being a part of Rutgers’s University. She also loved gardening and traveling.
Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She loved all her family and friends and was dedicated to helping make others happy. She truly touched every person she encountered. Her kindness and generosity impacted many.
She’s predeceased by her husband George Andrè Vetrecin (d. 2016) and her parents Harold and Marian (Allen) Buschhorn.
Surviving is her son Michael G. Vetrecin (Theresa) of East Brunswick, her daughter Kelly A. Donnell (Emerson Bradford III) of North Brunswick; her sister Janet Miller of Mercerville, her brother William Buschhorn of TN; her eight grandchildren Philip Vetrecin of North Brunswick, Brandon Vetrecin of Florida, Danielle Alberti of Texas , Joseph Gambino of North Brunswick, Landon, Vinny, Tyler and Christopher Vetrecin and her great granddaughter Adalyn Blake Alberti.
Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday, May 10th, from 3:30 – 7:30 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 11th, 10:00 am, at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, North Main St., Milltown. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick.
