Vinubhai Patel, of Franklin Park, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 at home. He was 85.
Born in Nisaraya, India, he came to United States in 1971 and resided in Queens, NY. He lived in Chicago, Saudia Arabia, Hurst, Texas, and Prescott, AZ before moving to Franklin Park 2 years ago.
Mr. Patel was a civil engineer for 35 years, working for the Army Corps of Engineers in Ft. Worth, Texas, before retiring in 2009.
He was very social and enjoyed cooking and fixing everything. He will be greatly missed by his loving family.
He's predeceased by his wife Sushilaben Patel (d. 2016). Surviving is his son and daughter-in-law, Mukund and Jyotsana Patel of Prescott, AZ; his daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Himanshu Patel of Franklin Park; and 5 grandchildren.
Pooja services will be held on Wednesday, January 23rd, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. Funeral arrangements are by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. Contributions may be made in Mr. Patel's name to the American Cancer Society, www.ca.org .
