Vimal Bharatiya, of Monmouth Junction, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at Merwick Care Center in Plainsboro. She was 77.
Born in Indore, India, she received her Master's in Sociology from Agra University, India. She has decades of multifaceted career, as a teacher, Principal & Social worker in India, before coming to the United States in 2010.
Vimal enjoyed spending time empowering underprivileged women and educating young minds in her hay days and spending time with her family and mostly her grandchildren when she after moving to US.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rajendra K. Bharatiya; her daughter Piya Paulus and her husband Robby of Monmouth Jct., her son Tushar Bharatiya and his wife Vasundhara of Plainsboro, and her daughter Payal Bharatiya and her husband Kumar Rajnish of Parkland, FL; her six grandchildren Mehar, Myra, Romir, Kabir, Ira and Shrey; her older sister Indira Saxena; and her loving and dedicated caregiver Cecilia Vergara (Tia).
Antim Samskara (last rites) will be performed on Monday, December 6th, from 10:00 – 12:00 pm, at Bucks County Crematory (Galzarano Funeral Home), 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057.
Antyeshti (Puja) will commence at 10:00 am followed by antim shradhanjili (wake) for friends and well-wishers. Proceedings will culminate with Mukhaagni (final sacrifice) and dah samskara (cremation) in private setting. in lieu of flowers please donate for this cause - support education for underprivileged girls in India
