Thomas G. Raba

July 6, 1942 — March 10, 2022

Thomas G. Raba, of Milltown, NJ, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He was 79.

Born in Allentown, PA, he grew up in Northampton, PA and lived in Milltown for the past 49 years. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964. He attended Penn State University and Middlesex County College and received his Associate Degrees in Marketing and Accounting.

Tom worked for PSE&G for 32 years as a street mechanic and then dump truck driver, retiring in March 2005. He was a former member of the American Legion Joyce Kilmer Post 25 in Milltown.

He was an avid lover of football especially The JETS and Penn State. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and going to the casinos. (The Borgata will miss his donations.) He loved animals, nature and especially spending time with his family and pets.

Tom loved to laugh and was quick witted. He was charming and had a unique sense of humor. He was very intelligent and admirable. He was someone who made a difference in the lives of others and someone that you wanted to be around. Tom was generous, compassionate, courageous and loyal to the core. He made the world a better place. He will be sincerely missed by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary (Kantz) Raba, his brother Frank Raba and his sister Mary Raba.

Surviving is his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Susan J. (Hackler) Raba; his son Thomas M. Raba of Monmouth Junction, his daughter Jennifer S. Fiedler of Milltown, his sister Theresa Flisak of Bethlehem, PA, his many nephews, nieces and treasured friends.

Services are private under the direction of The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. Contributions may be made in Tom's memory to Wounded Warrior Project, Milltown Rescue Squad or an animal charity of your choice. You may sign the online condolence "guestbook" at www.crabiel.com
