Thomas J. Cappella, of Milltown, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 66. He was born in New Brunswick and lived in Milltown all of his life.
Tommy owned with his brothers, Raymond and Gerard, Cappella Brothers Hardware in Milltown. Previously he worked for East Brunswick Plumbing Supply.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church in Milltown. Tommy loved everything trains. He enjoyed expanding his model train collection and recreating a little Milltown train village. He was a fan of Elvis and Johnny Cash music.
He’s predeceased by his father Thomas Cappella and his brother Gerard Cappella (d. 2020).
Surviving is his loving wife Monica (Roche) Cappella; his mother Shirley (Reinhard) Cappella of Milltown; his son Thomas Cappella of Levittown PA, his step-daughter Christina Carr of Milltown and grandson Aidan; his brothers and sisters Cheryl Muir (Dave), Raymond Cappella (Kathy), Mary Cruz (Joe), Carmela Newman (Brian), Beth Doros (Jay), Barbara Cornacchio (John) and Angela Walker (Ed); his sister-in-law Diana Cappella and his brother-in-laws Frank Roche (Wendy) and Mitchell Roche (Cyndi); several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Jewels.
A Celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown.
