Therese Elias Charchar, of Monmouth Junction, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro. She was 85.
Born in Nazareth and lived in Lebanon, she came to the United States in 2014. She was a member of the Sisters of Mary Church in Tyre, Lebanon.
Therese enjoyed knitting and cooking. She was known for her grape leaves, praying the rosary, and always being on the lookout for something sweet. She was a parishioner of St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church in Somerset.
She's predeceased by her husband Youhanna Charchar and her daughter Afife Baradei.
Surviving is her son Eli Charchar (Rola) of Princeton, her daughters Randa Halabi (John) of Tyre, Lebanon, Georget Rizk (David) of East Brunswick, Elaine Khoury (Michael) of Easton, PA, Lilian Youssef (Nader) of Bedminster, NJ, and Rania Charchar of Princeton; her son-in-law Ayoub Baradei (Afife) of East Brunswick and 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 12th, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at St. Sharbel Maronite Church, Easton Ave. & Franklin Blvd, Somerset. Burial will take place at Tyre of Lebanon Cemetery in Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Egatha Foundation (egathafoundation.org) or St. Sharbel Church in Somerset NJ.
