Theodore N. Ciricillo

March 25, 1937 — July 19, 2022

Theodore N. Ciricillo, of Edison, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at JFK Hospital in Edison. He was 85. Born in Newark, he grew up in Nutley and moved between New Jersey and Florida many times throughout his life.

As a young man, his trade was wallpaper hanging which was taught to him by his uncle Berty. He practiced his trade most of his life; however, his true passion was the Amusement Industry. Tedd had concessions in Seaside Park, Seaside Heights, Long Branch and Brigantine - he was a true carney at heart!

Later in life, Tedd worked as a retail greeter, pollworker and was a District 27 Committeeman in Edison. He often said those jobs reminded him of being on the boardwalk - always someone new to meet, always a new story.

Throughout his life, Tedd enjoyed being around and engaging with people of all ages. He will be greatly missed by what he called his numerous dear and close friends, associates and acquaintances. Also, Tedd had a great love of classic television and enjoyed rewatching countless episodes of Columbo, Monk and Get Smart from which he most often quoted "And Loving it!"

Tedd did not want a service or traditional burial, but wanted to be remembered as he was - 6'2" with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Surviving Tedd is his son Theodore R. Ciricillo of FL; his daughter and son-in-law Cynthia and Gaetano Gaspari of Edison; his grandchildren Stefana Gaspari, Stefano Gaspari and Carly Ciricillo; and his great grandson Bryce Alli.
