Tara Makani

Tara Makani, of Freehold, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Wedgewood Gardens in Freehold. She was 84.
Born in Gujarat, India, she moved to the United States in 1991 and resided in Freehold.
Mrs. Makani worked in the Legal Compliance department for Jaipur Metals and Electric in India, for 35 years, retiring in 1989.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and arts and crafts.
Tara is predeceased by her husband Praful Makani (d. 1957).
Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, Milan and Theresa Makani of Millstone Twp.; her daughter and son-in-law Sonal and Kishor Joshi of Freehold; her sisters Manchaben Ladhani and Vijaya Mehta, both of India; her grandchildren Risheeta, Toral, Shyamal and Natalia; and her great grandchildren Aisha, Tejas, Dev and Anjali.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Franklin Memorial Park, Rt. 27 and Cozzens Lane, North Brunswick. Arrangements are by The Crabiel Home For Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. You may sign the condolence "guestbook" for the family at www.crabiel.com
