Susan Trush

Susan E. Scott Trush, of Helmetta, NJ, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 at home. She was 51. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Milltown most of her life before moving to Helmetta two years ago.
Susan was a speech pathologist, teacher and extremely hard worker. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Kean University.
She loved to sit by the lake near her home in Helmetta, as well as spend time with her partner, John, her two children, Shaye and Sadie, and their dog, Paisley. Susan loved online games and recently took up cooking as one of her hobbies. She loved being with her family more than anything.
She's predeceased by her beloved mother Ann M. (Reddington) Scott (d. 2020). She loved her mother more than she loved herself. They are both now at peace together.
Surviving are her daughters Shaye and Sadie Trush; her father John L. Scott, Sr. of Tewksbury; her brothers Joseph B. Scott (Meridith) of Tewksbury; John L. Scott, Jr. (Regina) of Whiting, and Michael P. Scott of Fords; her partner, John Connelly of Helmetta, her former husband, Daniel A. Trush of Milltown; and her many nieces, nephew and the Connelly children.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, January 20, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will start at 7:30pm, at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown.
