Sondra P. Potter

June 11, 1937 — January 31, 2018

Sondra Phyllis Potter, formerly of Edison and Monroe Twp., passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Brookside Assistant Living in Freehold. She was 80.

Born in Newark, she lived in Edison most of her life before moving to Monroe Twp.

Before retiring in 1999, Sondra was senior clerk for 22 years, at Rutgers University, in the Records and Transcripts Department. She was member of the Jewish Congregation of Rossmoor and Temple Beth El in Edison.

Sondra was fun loving and enjoyed being with her friends and family. She was a passionate reader and avid mahjong player.

She's predeceased by her husband Marvin Potter (d. 1999) and her son Eric Potter (d. 2000).

Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law Howard and Fran Potter of Marlboro; her daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Dave Cavanaugh of NYC; her sister Janis Berman of Palm City, FL; her sister-in-law Aileen Rosenberg of Rockville, MD; and 4 grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Friday, February 2, 2018, 10:00 am, at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, www.donations.diabetes.org or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, www.pancan.org .
