Sheryl L. Visokay

Sheryl Visokay passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 at her home in Milltown. She was 68 years old.

Born in New Brunswick, she lived in Milltown all of her life. Sheryl was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unique sense of humor. She had a way of making people feel comfortable, always putting others before herself and doing her best to make everyone around her happy. Her warmth, compassion, and peaceful nature left a lasting impression on those who knew and loved her.

Sheryl was deeply devoted to her family and found joy in life’s simple comforts. She loved watching her favorite television shows, relaxing by the shore, and caring for her beloved cats, who brought her endless comfort and companionship over the years.

She worked for many years as a Medical Assistant where her coworkers became a second family. Her love for everyone close to her was constant and unconditional.

Sheryl was preceded by her beloved spouse, Joe Sandar, and her father, Joseph Visokay.

She is survived by her son, Trevor Visokay, and his spouse, Angie, of Howell; her mother, Janet Visokay of Milltown; and her cherished grandchildren, Violet and Joseph Visokay.

Her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who loved her, but her memory will live on through the laughter she shared, the comfort she gave, and the love she carried so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Family and friends may come to the Visitation on Tuesday, May 12th, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. Final Visitation will be Wednesday, 10:30 am at the funeral home. Graveside service will follow at Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Milltown Rescue Squad, POB 308, Milltown 08850 or Karma Cat Rescue, 39 South Main St, Milltown NJ 08850.
