Salvatore Lubrano of Kendall Park, NJ passed away on Sunday April 12, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick, NJ at the age of 82 years old.
Salvatore was born in Monte Di Procida, Italy on July 7, 1937. He came to the United States in 1967 residing in Brooklyn, NY, then moved to North Brunswick, NJ then Kendall Park, NJ in 2008.
Salvatore was a fisherman in Italy before coming to the United States in 1967. He purchased his first pizzeria (Pizza Plaza) in New Brunswick in 1976. Salvatore went on to own and operate many pizzerias along with his children. Salvatore retired in 2002 and spent his time enjoying his love of family.
Salvatore enjoyed fishing with his grandkids, boating, and traveling to Italy. He was a kind, sweet and gentle man. His love for his family was his greatest joy. He enjoyed family dinners, holidays and summer BBQ's. He also enjoyed his spring gardening especially his tomato plants and fig trees.
He was predeceased by his beloved first wife Maria Costagliola Lubrano (d.1979) and his second wife Assunta Durazzo Lubrano (D. 2002). His daughter Marina Lubrano (D. 1995) and his grandson P.J Garibaldi (D. 1995).
Salvatore is survived by his daughter Angie Lubrano and spouse Lucia Furnari of New Brunswick, NJ; his son Joseph Lubrano and spouse JoAnne Vasquez of Kendall Park, NJ; his daughter Isabella ElBana and spouse Tamer ElBana of Kendall Park, NJ; his beloved grandchildren Gina ElBana, Angela Elbana, Maria Lubrano, Joseph Lubrano Jr. and Tamer ElBana Jr.
His family will treasure his many stories of growing up in Italy and his infectious smile. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
