In Loving Memory of Salvatore “Plink” Giglio

Salvatore Giglio Junior, "Plink", of Dayton, NJ passed away from cancer on October 21, 2026 at the age of 67. Born on February 5, 1959, to Salvatore and Phyllis Giglio, Salvatore Jr., known affectionately to family and friends as "Plink", grew up in North Brunswick, NJ. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend who brought unique light into the lives of everyone who knew him.

Plink spent his life in central New Jersey where he arranged and produced music at his recording studio, 17th Avenue Productions. He was a two-time GMA Dove Award winning engineer and producer. Throughout his life, music was always his passion. He was a gifted pianist and was known for his musical genius, quick wit, generous heart, and one-of-a-kind sense of humor. He was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and served his church as minister of music for many years. His father gave him the nick-name Plinky, when he began plinking on the piano as a toddler. That was the start of his life-long giftedness at the keyboard and all forms of music, and he shared that gift effusively with others. Plink loved to sit at the piano for hours worshipping his Lord, giving back to Him the gift he was blessed to receive. Above all, Plink treasured the time he spent with his family, pets, and loved ones. He always had room at his family table for an extra guest who had nowhere else to spend the holiday.

Plink is survived by his wife, Laura Giglio, née Ascolese, of 47 years; his daughter and son-in-law Rachel and Michael Callahan, three grandchildren, Ella, Carly and Jed Callahan; his four brothers, Richard, Peter (Shirley), Joey "Jigs" (Debbie) and Raphael (Aly); his six sisters, Carol (Peter), Diane, Rosie, Monica, Brijitte, Elena; brother-in-law Charles (Dorie) Ascolese; his sister-in-law Cindy Houser, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Tommy.

A celebration of Plink’s life will be held at a future date. Those wishing to express their condolences may do so at Crabiel Funeral Home Legacy Page, www.crabiel.com. In lieu of flowers, if please consider a donation to Georges Road Baptist Church or Samaritan’s Purse.
