Rosalyn B Cooper

November 4, 1925 — February 20, 2023

Rosalyn Blum Cooper passed away on Monday February 20th, 2023, at the age of 97. She was born in Brooklyn, NY where she attended grade school and high school. After raising her family, she attended Newark State Teachers' College (now Kean University), and she attended St. Xavier University, Chicago IL, graduating in 1971. She lived in various towns in New Jersey, most of her time in East Brunswick and Monroe Township, most recently in Somerset, NJ.
Rosalyn was a teacher for Piscataway Board of Education. After retiring, she tutored ESL (English as a Second Language) students for 15 plus years. Rosalyn was a life member of Hadassah. She also was a member of the NJ Education Association.
Rosalyn is pre-deceased by her husband Abraham Cooper and sisters Carole Moltz and Annette Squire. Survived by her children, Janet Cooper Weiss of North Brunswick, NJ, Ross Cooper (Dr. Lori Auster) Scarsdale, NY. Grandchildren Jonathan (Irene), Steven (Nicole), David Weiss, Alison and Emily Cooper. Great-grandchildren Eve and Henry Weiss. Surviving sisters Estelle Kissel and Selma Blum.
Funeral Service will take place on February 22nd, 2023, 12:00 Noon, at the Congregation B'nai Tikvah, 1001 Finnegans Ln, North Brunswick, NJ 08902. Burial will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery Woodbridge NJ. You may sign the online guest book www.crabiel.com. In Lieu of flower and food, donations can be made to Hadassah www.hadassah.org/donate
