Robert J. Matrafajlo

Robert J. Matrafajlo, of Loxahatchee, Florida, passed away at home on Monday, July 13, 2026.

Born in Perth Amboy, he was raised in South Brunswick, New Jersey. He lived in South Beach, Florida, before moving to Loxahatchee, where he purchased his home and lived for over 20 years.

He was formerly an engineer for AT&T for many years before leaving to start his own company, RJM Water Filtration, of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Robert was an avid motorcyclist, fisherman, and boating enthusiast. Given his engineering background, he also loved working on cars and trucks in his free time. He owned a monster truck that he took off-roading, and was in the midst of restoring a Chevrolet Chevelle that he planned to give to his daughter.

Robert was a devoted father to his daughter, Elizabeth.

He was predeceased by his brother, Mark Matrafajlo (d. 2007).

Surviving him are his loving daughter, Elizabeth, of West Palm Beach; his father, Jerry Matrafajlo, of North Brunswick; his mother, Donna, of South Brunswick; and his brother, Danny, of Spring Lake.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 23rd, at 10:00 am, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Milltown. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery in Sayreville. A visitation for family and friends will take place Wednesday from 5:00–7:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N. Main St. (at Riva Avenue), Milltown.
