Robert R Laufer

Robert Laufer, 94, a long time resident of East Brunswick passed away on August 16, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick.  Robert spent his childhood in Milltown, NJ. After graduating New Brunswick High School Robert joined the U. S. Army. Robert toured Europe with the US Army band right after the end of WWII. After his return from the service he attended and graduated from Rutgers University. 

 

Robert married the love of his life, Mary (Lynch) Laufer in 1951. He worked for Scovill Manufacturing Co. headquartered in Waterbury, CT until leaving to join his partners at Shore Industrial Plumbing Supply in Neptune, NJ.  Robert was an avid golfer and longtime member at Hopewell Valley Golf and Country Club.  His love for music continued throughout his lifetime.

 

Robert was predeceased by his parents, Wendell Laufer and Ethel (Tischler) Laufer and his wife Mary (Lynch) Laufer.  He is survived by his brother, Kent Laufer of Seaside Park, NJ, his children, Katherine Laufer of Manchester, CT, Elizabeth Laufer (Michael Burak) of East Brunswick, NJ and Kurt Laufer (Cindy) of Naperville, IL and his grandchildren Mara and Erin Burak and Jessica and Grace Laufer.
