Robert J. Kraemer, formerly of Milltown, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 84.
Born in Elizabeth, he lived in North Brunswick, and Milltown for 57 years, before moving back to North Brunswick 4 years ago. He served in the United States Army from 1956 – 1958. He received a BA from Rutgers University in New Brunswick.
Bob worked for Union Carbide in Piscataway, for 37 years, before retiring as a senior program analyst. After retirement he enjoyed working for Target in Milltown for 14 years. He was a former member of the Milltown Board of Education.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church in Milltown. He was a member of the Milltown Senior Citizens and sang with the glee club. He loved fishing and was a Rutgers and Yankee fan.
He's predeceased by his parents Joseph and Pauline (Bugan) Kraemer and his sister Lucille Walker (d. 2021).
Surviving is his beloved wife of 61 years, Lucy (Perrone) Kraemer; his three sons, Michael (Sherry) Kraemer of Hamilton Sq., Gregory Kraemer of Monroe Twp., and Joseph Kraemer of North Brunswick; 6 grandchildren Anthony, Mikayla, Natasha, Christopher, Daniel and Jessica; and 5 great grandchildren Landon, McKenna, Parker, Cole and Logan.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 17th, 10:00 am, at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, North Main Street, Milltown. Inurnment will be private at Brig General William C Doyle Veterans Memorial Park in Wrightstown. Contributions may be made in Mr. Kraemer's name to either Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, www.stjude.org .
