Robert J. Baran, formerly of New Brunswick, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at Pacifica San Martin Home in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was 79.
Born and raised in New Brunswick, he lived there most of his life. He moved to Las Vegas 5 years ago to be closer to his niece and nephew.
Robert was a history teacher at Old Bridge High School for 34 years before retiring. He had many passions such as travel, music and his love for of nature.
He was a parishioner of St. Mary of Mt. Virgin RC Church in New Brunswick for over 40 years.
He's predeceased by his parents Adam and Anna Rose (Spak) Baran and his brother Dr. Francis A. Baran (d. 2015).
Surviving is his nephew Christopher Baran and niece Jessica Baran, both of Las Vegas.
A Funeral Mass will be held later this year at St. Mary's of Mt. Virgin RC Church. In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to the Ann Baran Memorial Lecture Series at Trinitas Regional Medical Center. To donate online, go to www.trinitasrmc.org/foundation.htm.
