Richard Dallas

Richard Dallas, formerly of Milltown, passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 at home. He was 86. Born and raised in New Brunswick, he lived in Milltown most of his life before moving to the Rossmoor section of Monroe Twp. in 2010.

Richie served in the US Army during the Korean War.

He worked for PSE&G in New Brunswick for 37 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the IBEW Union at PSE&G.

He was a Eucharist Minister and Lecter for Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church in Milltown. Most recently he was a communicant of St. James the Less RC Church in Jamesburg.

Richie was a Charter Member of the Rangers Athletic Club in Milltown. He also coached Pop Warner football and basketball. He was an avid fresh water and sea water fisherman, and enjoyed playing golf.

He's predeceased by his siblings William, Louis and Margaret.

Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Joan (Vanacore) Dallas; his son Matthew Dallas of North Brunswick; his daughter Terry Dallas Schaa of Branchburg; and his grandson Joseph Dallas of Franklin Twp.

Friends and relatives may call on Thursday, June 22nd, from 3:00 – 7:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. A Blessing will be held during the visitation at 6:30 pm. Entombment will be at a later date at the Brig General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Park in Arnytown.
