Renay Sharon McCaman, age 71 of North Brunswick, NJ passed away peacefully with her husband and daughters by her side on Tuesday, November 30th. She's predeceased by her parents Charles Friedman (d. 1976) and Rhoda Friedman (d. 2021). She grew up in Edison, NJ, graduating from Edison High School in 1969 and a long time resident of North Brunswick, NJ. Renay was an elementary school teacher for 31 years with Old Bridge Township Public Schools, retiring in 2004. She was the recipient of the NJ Governor's Teacher Recognition Award in 1999. She attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, graduating with a degree in education.
Renay is survived by her husband Sheldon "Shelly" McCaman of 44 years; two daughters, Carla Morgenroth of North Carolina and Lauren McCaman of Colorado; her sister, Debra Rand; her brother Steven Friedman and her two grandsons Matthew and Mason.
Private graveside services will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ. Arrangements are by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown, NJ. You may sign the online condolence "guestbook" at www.crabiel.com.
