Raymond Jegou

Raymond R. Jegou, of Milltown, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2026. He was 91 years old. Born at home in Milltown, he lived there his entire life.

He met his wife Marlene in the 1950’s, while working at Decorative Metal in Milltown (now The Mill). He was a longtime employee for Milltown Borough DPW where he was a mechanic, retiring in 2005.

Ray enjoyed watching NASCAR, building race cars and fishing. He was a hard worker and very dedicated to his family.

He is predeceased by his parents Jean Marie (John) and Marie (Huiban) Jegou; his brothers Marcel, John, Eugene, Robert and Charles Jegou; and his sister Lucienne Creighton.

Surviving is his wife of 71 years, Marlene (Magee) Jegou, his daughter Patricia and her husband Steven Timson of East Brunswick, and Donna and Steve Austin of Scarborough Canada; his grandchildren Caitlyn Timson, and her boyfriend and his son Brendan Sean McCabe; and his sister-in-laws Carol Jegou and Christina Jegou; and his nephews.

A Blessing will be held on Wednesday, November 11 th, 11:00 am, at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. A Visitation for family and friends will be prior to the funeral from 9:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park in East Brunswick.
