Randy Beth Kolasky Silver, of Monroe Township, passed away on May 10, 2026, after a brief illness, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and deep devotion to her family.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Hyman and Ann Kolasky, Randy was a graduate of Lafayette High School and attended Lehman College. She embarked on a career as a secretary for various companies, eventually retiring from the State of New Jersey after years of dedicated service.
Randy had a true zest for life’s best offerings. She was never one to turn down a shopping trip, a delicious meal, or a day spent antiquing. Her perfect afternoon was spent poolside with a good book, soaking up the sun while listening to her favorite music. While she loved capturing life’s moments through her camera lens, her family will forever cherish her “signature” style: she famously managed to cut a head or an arm out of nearly every photo. Randy’s yearly visits to Maine remained the highlight of her calendar, fueling her spirit with adventure and the simple joy of being in her favorite place.
Above all, Randy was defined by her love for her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Marty; her children, Adam (Christina) of Stafford, VA, and Elizabeth (Greg) of Westport, CT; and her brother, David Kolasky (Betsy) of Portland, OR. Her grandchildren - Eric, Emily, Olivia, and Lila - were her greatest joys and the absolute lights of her life. She also leaves behind a loving circle of nieces, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at a future date. Details will be shared by the family when they are finalized.
