Ramesh M. Patel, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away Saturday, May 7th, 2022 at Atlantic Care Hospital in Atlantic City. He was 83
Ramesh was born and lived in Bandhani, India where he married his wife, Savita, in 1958 and they had their three children. Ramesh came to the United States to pursue his Master's in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A & M. He brought his family over to the US in 1966. He and Savita raised their children in Ringwood, NJ where they lived for 21 years. Ramesh and Savita moved to West Chester, OH in 1993 and then most recently moved to Egg Harbor Township, NJ 3 months ago in February 2022.
Before retiring in 2000, he was a mechanical engineer for ITT Marlow Pumps for 30 years. He designed many pumps and earned several patents for large scale pumps still in use today.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing cards with old friends and watching football and baseball.
He's predeceased by his parents Maganbhai and Dahiben Patel, his brother Vinu Patel and his son Paresh Patel.
Surviving is his wife Savita; his daughters and son-in-laws Alpa and Robert Roman of Ramsey, NJ, and Varsha and James Fresella of Kinnelon, NJ; his daughter-in-law Mayuri Patel of Mason, OH; his grandchildren: Kimberly Roman, Monica Vernier, Stephanie Roman, Daniel Fresella, Nikhil Patel, Anthony Fresella; great grandchild Thea Vernier; his brothers Navin, Vipin and Govind Patel; and his sisters Hansa and Dharmitha Patel.
Pooja services will be held on Tuesday, May 10th, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, at Franklin Memorial Park, Cozzens Lane & Rt. 27, North Brunswick. Services will also be live streamed at https://youtu.be/rOta4Pt3oYk.
