Ramesh K. Bhasin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia.
Born in New Delhi, India, Ramesh embarked on a remarkable journey when he moved to the United States in 1987, driven by a dream to create a brighter future for his family. With courage and hope, he transitioned from the vibrant streets of India to the dynamic landscape of America, settling in New York City, then Turnersville, NJ, before making East Brunswick his home. His life was a testament to resilience, hard work, and an unwavering dedication to those he loved. Recently retired, Ramesh had spent his life as a hard-working and honest man with an unwavering commitment to his loved ones. His vibrant personality made him the heart of every gathering, and he will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and generosity. Those lucky enough to have crossed his path were greeted by his warm smile and a sense of genuine care.
Ramesh was more than a devoted husband and father; he was the steadfast anchor that grounded his family. His quiet strength spoke louder than words, and his wisdom guided those around him through life’s challenges. His legacy of love, integrity, and selfless dedication will endure, living on in the hearts of those who knew him. Though his time here has come to an end, the legacy of his kindness, integrity, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those he cherished most. He leaves behind not just memories, but the very foundation of love and honor upon which his family will stand forever. His unwavering devotion to his family was reflected not only in the sacrifices he made but in the everyday moments that will forever be etched in their memories.
Ramesh’s life was also touched by profound loss. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Ekta Bhasin (d. 1980), his parents, Jyoti R. and Krishna (Puri) Bhasin, and his siblings, Vijay K. Bhasin, Suresh Bhasin, and Sushma Duggal. Despite these deep sorrows, Ramesh carried on with grace, finding strength in his family and faith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Savita (Sahni) Bhasin, whose partnership he cherished deeply; his sons, Divik Bhasin of East Brunswick and Pankaj “PK” Bhasin of Alexandria, VA, who embody the values and strength of character their father instilled in them; his daughter-in-law, Neha (Sehgal) Bhasin; and his precious grandchildren, Kiara and Aaria, who will carry forward the light of his love. Also mourning his loss is his faithful canine companion, Sir Charles Darwin, who was a constant source of joy and companionship in Ramesh’s later years.
