Rajendraprasad C. Patel, formerly of NJ, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Boston, MA. He was 72.
Born in Bhadran, Gujarat, India, he came to the United States in 1979. While living in NJ he resided in Piscataway, Franklin Park, and Kendall Park. He most recently lived in Townsend and Savannah, Georgia, before moving to Pooler, GA.
Rajendra spent his life pursuing various business ventures. He was a dedicated husband, father, sibling, Mama, Kaka, Dada, Masa, and Fua. A friend to many with a passion to help anyone in need. He had compassion for all living things, he was a devoted father to his fur-son, Sonny, birds: Tiki and Miki, and several fish. He fostered stray cats, roosters, and chickens.
He was an avid Cricket fan, India being his favorite team. He loved singing Garba and playing the harmonium. He had a green thumb for flowers and vegetables. Enjoyed celebrating life with his family and friends. His favorite moments were spent with family time surrounded by food, laughter, music and movies
He's predeceased by his parents, Chimanbhai and Kantaben Patel; his brothers Indravadan C. Patel (d. 2021) and Naginbhai Patel, his sisters Soulochnaben and Tarlaben Patel, his brother-in-law Ramesh Patel, and his dog Sonny Patel.
Surviving is his wife of 40 years, Dinaben (Desai) Patel; his son Hiren Patel of Philadelphia, his daughter Paula Patel of NYC; his brother Bhupendra (Leena) Patel of Piscataway, NJ; his sister Kokilaben (Rameshlal) Patel of Lowell, MA; and his sister-in-law Pragna (Indravadan) Patel of Florida.
Pooja services will be held on Tuesday, May 17th, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Franklin Memorial Park Crematory, Cozzens Lane & Rt. 27, North Brunswick.
