Rafael Naul Alvarado-Jorge, of Fords, passed away Thursday November 5, 2020 at home. He was 67.

Born in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic, he came to the United States in 1970. He lived in Perth Amboy most of his life before moving to Fords six years ago.

Rafael worked for Bainbridge in Cranbury, for 34 years, before retiring. He enjoyed boxing, spending time with his friends and being surrounded by his family. It is true when they say a dog is a man's best friend; wherever Rafael was, his dog, Riley, was by his side. In his younger years, he spent his nights with friends, dancing the night away.

He's predeceased by his father Marco Antonio Alvarado.

Surviving is his wife Ramona Milena Canela Duran; his mother Luz Maria Jorge; his children Luz Maria Jorge of Queens, Juan Pablo Duran of Fords, Rafeal Naul Alvarado Jr. of Fords, and Ricardo Alvarado of Plainsboro; his brothers Jorge Alvarado and his wife Rosa, of Hoboken and Pablo Jorge of Staten Island; his sisters Angela Perez Jorge and Margarita Jorge, both of the Dominican Republic.

Also surviving are his eight beloved grandchildren – Elicia Dobbins, Yoskary Prandy, Milena and DeAngelo Duran, Juan Pablo Duran Jr., Elicia Rosa, Ricardo Alvarado Jr., Christopher and Marcus Alvarado; and his eight great grandchildren – Hillary Tavarez, Andrew Pichardo, Ariel Bonifacio, Jacob Roldan, Matthew and Miabella Henry and Makayla and Angel Diaz.

A private Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 14th, 2020 at the family's home in Fords. Arrangements are by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. You may sign the online condolence "guestbook" at www.crabiel.com

Rafael Naul Alvarado-Jorge, de Fords, falleció el jueves 5 de noviembre de 2020 en casa. Tenía 67 años.

Nacido en San Francisco de Macoris, República Dominicana, llegó a los Estados Unidos en 1970. Vivió en Perth Amboy la mayor parte de su vida antes de mudarse a Fords hace seis años.

Rafael trabajó para Bainbridge en Cranbury, durante 34 años, antes de retirarse. Le gustaba el boxeo, pasar tiempo con sus amigos y estar rodeado por su familia. Es cierto cuando dicen que un perro es el mejor amigo de un hombre; donde estaba Rafael, su perro, Riley, estaba a su lado. En sus años más jóvenes, pasó sus noches con amigos, bailando toda la noche.
