Prasanna Naik (lovingly known as Guddi), a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ, at the age of 57.
Born in Navsari, Gujarat, India, Prasanna moved to the United States in 1990, first living in Brooklyn before settling in Old Bridge 24 years ago. She brought warmth, kindness, and a deep sense of compassion to everyone she met.
For the past 17 years, Prasanna worked at ELS Educational Services in Princeton, where she was known for her dedication and care. She was a lifelong learner, earning a Master’s degree from Pace University and prior to that, an Ayurvedic medical degree from Gujarat, India, reflecting her passion for both education and wellness.
Prasanna was an extraordinary woman with a kind heart, always ready to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and even strangers. Her love for others knew no bounds, and she had a rare gift for making everyone feel valued and cherished. Whether she was preparing one of her famous meals, planning a family gathering, or offering a listening ear, her warmth and kindness were felt by all who knew her. She had an undeniable passion for the outdoors and found peace in nature, whether hiking or simply enjoying the quiet beauty of sitting outside.
Prasanna was the go-to person for advice and support, always offering a sense of calm in the face of any challenge. Above all, her love for her family was unwavering. She was the glue that held everyone together, creating a sense of belonging and unity that made her family feel complete. Her ability to connect people, nurture relationships, and offer unconditional love left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lincoln; her beloved children, Karan and Alicia (married to Jigesh Patel); her parents, Harshadrai and Vasumatiben Naik; her brothers, Rakesh (married to Jigisha) and Snehal (married to Rupal); and her nephews, Neel, Jagrav, and Joy. They, along with all who knew her, will miss her more than words can express.
A Pooja service will be held in her memory on Saturday, December 14th, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
