Phyllis Puttterman

Phyllis Putterman passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, with her daughter, Helayne, by her side, holding her hand until her last breath.

Phyllis was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She shared a special bond with her daughter, Helayne; her grandchildren, Jamie and Josh; and her great-granddaughter, Lexi, all of whom brought immense happiness and pride to her life.

In her younger years, Phyllis loved to travel, especially cruising with Jamie. She found joy in painting, often expressing herself through art. An avid reader, she could frequently be found with a good book in hand. She cherished time with family, appreciated life’s simple pleasures, and was known for her spirited personality, sharp sense of humor, and her love of a good glass of vodka.

Phyllis will be remembered for her strength, resilience, and unconditional love. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and wisdom to her family, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Helayne; her grandchildren, Jamie and Josh; her beloved great-granddaughter, Lexi; her sister, Lillian; her brother, George; and her sister-in-law, Barbara.

Though her family is heartbroken by her loss, they find comfort in knowing she was surrounded by love until her very last moments. They also find peace in imagining her reunited with her beloved husband, Lester, and her cherished son-in-law, Tom, who both preceded her in death.

After a life filled with love, family, laughter, books, paintings, travel, and treasured memories, Phyllis leaves behind a legacy that will live on through the generations she loved so dearly.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
