Phyllis G. Dicenzo, a beloved teacher at the East Brunswick Board of Education, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023. She was born on May 27, 1932, and left an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew her.
Phyllis dedicated her life to education, sharing her knowledge and passion with countless students throughout her career. Her commitment to teaching was unwavering, and she always went above and beyond to ensure her students' success. The impact she had on their lives will be remembered for years to come.
Phyllis obtained a bachelor’s degree in education, which laid the foundation for her illustrious career. She believed in the power of education to transform lives and instilled that belief in those she taught. Her dedication inspired many of her students to pursue their dreams and achieve great things.
Outside of her career, Phyllis cherished spending time with her husband, Donald Dicenzo. One of their favorite pastimes was going to the Jersey Shore together, creating lasting memories by the water. Their love and companionship were evident to all who knew them.
Among Phyllis' proudest accomplishments was the opportunity to travel Europe with her beloved husband. They embarked on incredible adventures together, exploring new cultures and embracing the beauty of the world around them. These experiences enriched their lives and strengthened their bond.
Phyllis was known for her love and caring nature. She always put others before herself, offering support and encouragement whenever it was needed. Her genuine kindness touched the hearts of many, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her husband Donald, Phyllis is preceded in death by her brother Greg Howell. Their loss deeply impacted Phyllis's life, but she carried their memory in her heart each day.
Phyllis is survived by her sister Adrienne Rudolph of Roselle, New Jersey, and her nephews Doug Rudolph, Gregory Howell Jr. and David Rudolph. Nieces Jacquelin Sherman, Suzanne Payne, and Regina Willard. In addition Phyllis had many great nephews and nieces.
Services to honor Phyllis's life will be held at The Crabiel Home For Funerals located at 170 North Main Street - at Riva Avenue in Milltown, NJ. Visitation will take place on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 PM. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 PM. Phyllis will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Burial Park in East Brunswick, NJ .
Phyllis G. Dicenzo leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication. Her impact on the lives she touched extends far beyond the walls of the classroom. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the light she brought into the world.
