Peter Nyers, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 at Park Place in Monmouth Jct. He was 92. Born in Hopelawn, he lived in Perth Amboy, North Brunwick, and most recently Milltown.
Peter was a United States Army Veteran of WWII. He retired as a security guard for Union Carbide in Piscataway. Previously he worked for 25 years at American Smelting & Refinery Co. in Perth Amboy.
Uncle Petey loved to watch wrestling, the Yankees and the Giants. He was a big country music fan.
He's predeceased by his 8 sibilings: his sisters Mary, Helen, Margaret and Elizabeth; and his brothers Joseph, Stephen, Paul, Peter and Julius; and his niece Veronica Shehade.
Surviving is his nephew Alex Nyers of Edison; and several great nieces and nephews, including Mary Bowman, Cindy Capoccia and Michael Sgro.
