Peter Buysse was born on December 3rd, 1938.
His mother and father were Anna and Peter Buysse.
As an infant, Peter lived at the Johnston Training and
Research Center.
At 7 years old, he was admitted to the Woodbine Developmental Center
where Peter lived for 19 years before being transferred
to Woodbridge Developmental Center.
He was then relocated to Green Brook Regional Center.
On January 23, 2015 he became a resident at
The Arc Middlesex County at Helen Drive Group Home.
Peter was pleased to be in his new home and
made several new friends.
Peter was a happy person with a pleasant smile.
He loved to laugh and enjoyed the company of others.
Peter liked looking at the pretty ladies in the magazines.
He loved the ladies and always said he had more than one girlfriend
and Amanda the Manager at the group home always told him he can't
have more than one girl friend at a time.
He loved parks and camping, movies and parties;
and he loved ice cream!
His favorite hobbies were crafts and coloring,
blue was his favorite color.
Peter enjoyed listening to music, singing, reading magazines, and dancing,
he would shake his tambourine and clap his hands to the music and
would shake his body to dance.
He would sit at the dining room table and listen to his music,
he would tap on the table and sing along.
He loved hymns and would always sing his favorite
"Yes, Jesus Loves Me".
Peter was the sole survivor of his family.
He was named after his dad and was loved by his family and friends.
He will be missed by his house mates and by the staff of The Arc Middlesex County.
Peter you will forever be in our hearts.
May you rest in Peace.
