Patricia Margaret Dudas, 91, formerly of Milltown, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on May 6, 2019. Viewing will be on Thursday, from 4:00pm - 8:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 North Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. A funeral mass will be held Friday, May 10th, at 10:30 am, at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, Milltown.
Born in Elizabeth NJ, to the late John and Ellen Quigley, Pat grew up in Elizabeth and graduated from St. Patrick High School in 1945, where she played on the girls varsity basketball team. Pat married Louis Dudas in 1951 and in 1953 they moved to Avenel NJ, then to Milltown, before retiring to Whiting NJ.
Pat worked for over 45 years, as a contract specialist for the Department of Defense, retiring at 70.
Pat was a sports enthusiast rooting every day for her beloved Mets. She was an avid reader of all genres especially mysteries, and she enjoyed spending time with all of her friends at the Milltown Senior Center, and the Red Hat Ladies. She was a communicant of Our Lady Lourdes and a member of the Altar Rosary Society.
Pat is predeceased by her husband Louis Dudas (d. 2003), her son-in-law Mick Grumka (d. 2008), her brothers John and Edward, and her sisters Eleanor Pryce, Marie Price, Kathleen Hrubic and Nancy Muldoon.
She is survived by her son Michael, and his wife Karen Dudas of Clark, NJ; her daughter Maureen Grumka, and her friend Greg Jorgensen, of Manalapan; her grandchildren Kate Lizer (James) of Colonia, Joseph Dudas of Point Pleasant Beach, and Kristen Dudas of Edison; and her great granddaughter Aubrey Lizer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
