Patricia Caropreso

Patricia Caropreso, 87, of Milltown, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025.

Born and raised in Staten Island, NY, Patty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was known for her generous nature, feeding everyone that crossed her path, and deep love for her family.

Patty found joy in caring for others. Her home was a place of comfort, where everyone felt welcome and loved. Whether it was her famous chicken cutlets or a pasta dish, Patty showed her love through food. Family meals and holiday gatherings were all made more special by her touch, and those memories will live on in every story shared around the table.

She ran a daycare out of her home for many years, treating each child like her own. Her days were filled with laughter, play, and the comforting routines only she could create. The bonds she formed with the children and their families lasted long after the kids grew up—many invited her to their weddings, and their families still came to visit long after the kids were adults. She wasn’t just a caregiver; she was a beloved part of their lives.

Not only did she treat the children in her daycare like her own, but she welcomed anyone who became a part of her life with the same warmth and care. Whether you were a neighbor, a friend, or someone just passing through, she made you feel like family. Her door was always open, her table always had a seat, and her heart always had room. It was just her nature to love deeply and give generously, and so many people carry that love with them today.

She created a life rooted in love, tradition, and generosity, and her legacy will continue in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.
