Parvati Hemraj Solanki, of Hazlet, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Arnold Nursing Home in Hazlet. She was 101. Born on February 5, 1922 in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India, she came to the United States in 1986. She lived in Fords before moving to Hazlet five years ago.
Mrs. Solanki was a great cook who enjoyed harvesting fruits and vegetables. She had a nice singing voice and loved knitting and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She’s predeceased by her husband Dr. Hemraj Solanki (d. 2016).
Surviving are her three sons Jayant Solanki of Poughkeepsie NY, Dilip Solanki of Boonton, NJ and Vijay Solanki of Fords, NJ; her four daughters Kundan Tank of Edison NJ, Prabha Solanki of Houston TX, Renuka Tank of Freehold and Mukunda Jadav of Freehold NJ; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Pooja services will be held Friday, August 4th, from 11:00 – 1:00 pm. Holy Cross Crematory, 840 Cranbury South River Road, Jamesburg 08831. Arrangements are by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown 08850.
