Oscar Colon, a dedicated nurse turned compassionate member of the Sharing Network of New Jersey, passed away on August 5, 2024. Born on October 5, 1968, Oscar touched the lives of many with his warmth and kindness.

Oscar's journey was marked by a commitment to caring for others. Starting his career as a nurse, he later found his calling at the Sharing Network of New Jersey, where he continued to make a difference in the lives of those in need. His Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from St. Elizabeth provided him with the knowledge and skills to excel in his profession.

Beyond his professional life, Oscar was known for his vibrant personality. He had a special talent for entertaining guests at his home and spreading joy wherever he went. Being surrounded by family brought him immense happiness, and his positive outlook on life was contagious.

In his leisure time, Oscar found solace in watching the Yankees play, cherishing moments with his lifelong partner Wilberto, and reconnecting with his family in Puerto Rico. These simple pleasures brought him great joy and contentment.

Oscar leaves behind a legacy that will be treasured by all who knew him. He is survived by his devoted partner of 26 years, Wilberto Feliciano. He also leaves behind his sister Daisy Velez from Puerto Rico, brother Jose A. Velez from Jacksonville Florida, brother Eduardo Colon and sister-in-law Celia from Highpoint North Carolina, nieces Zuly Colon and Dennisse Bultron, nephews Jose D. Velez and Eduardo A. Colon, as well as many friends and family.

As we bid farewell to Oscar Colon, we remember him for his unwavering kindness, infectious laughter, and boundless love for those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace as his spirit continues to shine brightly upon us all.
