Nathaniel R. Greenwald, formerly of Highland Park, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 at ProMedica Rehab Center in Piscataway. He was 49.
Born in Chicago, IL, he lived most of his life in Highland Park. After living in NYC and Highland Park, he recently moved to Raritan last year.
Nathan currently was a equity technical writer for SEI in PA. He was a semi pro poker player, having recently earned his first POY points at a WSOP event. He loved animals and enjoyed searching for old car parts.
He's predeceased by his parents Dr. Daniel Greenwald (d. 2021) and Linda (Smith) Greenwald (d. 1998).
Surviving are his brothers Jeremy Greenwald of South Amboy and Stephen Greenwald of San Francisco, CA; his beloved girlfriend Riya Sheth, his father's longtime companion Linda Weltchek of Berkley Heights; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, September 17th, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Popcorn Park Zoo, www.ahscares.org/popcorn-park. Or Animal Rescue Force, www.animalrescueforceinc.com.
