Narendra N. Patel

Narendra N. Patel, formerly of South Brunswick, NJ, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at NYU Langone Medical Center. He was 78.
Born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, he immigrated to the United States in 1966 where he pursued his master's degree in civil engineering from Worchester PolyTech Institute. He initially lived in Queens, NY and then South Brunswick, NJ for 33 years, before moving to Holmdel last year.
Narendra worked for over 30 years for New York City as a civil engineer. Most recently he worked for MTA in NYC, retiring in 2002. His love for music and reading was only matched by his love for playing cards as well watching cricket matches.
Surviving is his loving wife of 50 years, Gargi; his son and daughter-in-law Dr. Kepal and Tejal Patel of Brooklyn; his daughter and son-in-law Toral and Dr. Tushar Patel of Holmdel; and his beloved grandchildren Anika, Elina and Rohan.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 28th, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Franklin Memorial Park, Rt. 27 & Cozzens Lane, North Brunswick.
