Nanubhai L. Patel

Nanubhai L. Patel, of Somerset, passed away Monday, August 3, 2026 at JFK Hospital in Edison. He was 78 years old.

Born in Talodh, Billimora, India, Nanubhai immigrated to the United States in 1989. He initially lived in Newark and Union before settling in Somerset several years ago.

A dedicated professional, Nanubhai worked in Quality Assurance for Halo Pharmaceutical until his retirement in 2020. Outside of work, he had a rich array of passions. He found joy in farming, carpentry, cooking and singing, but his greatest devotion was always to his family, who will miss him dearly.

He was predeceased by his parents Lallubhai and Manchaben Patel, and his brothers Ravji and Thakor Patel.

Nanubhai is survived by his beloved wife, Ramila Patel; his sons Mitul Patel (wife, Ketu) and Jigar Patel (wife, Sajel), both of Hillsborough; his 3 grandchildren Arjun, Tiya and Samay; his brothers Gulabbhai and Harshad Patel, both of India; and his sister Ratanben Patel of India.

Pooja services will be held on Friday, August 7th, from 9:00 – 11:00 am, at Holy Cross Crematory, 840 Cranbury-South River Road, East Brunswick (Jamesburg).
