Michele A. Tallman, of Hillsborough, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at home. She was 53. Born in Jamaica Queens, she grew up in Spotswood and lived in Middlesex before moving to her Hillsborough home over 20 years ago.
Michele was a dedicated Financial Analysis for AT&T for the past 33 years. She was the AT&T New Jersey Finance Department's Community Service Leader, where she organized group involvement in programs such as Junior Achievement, Grow A Row, and Habitat for Humanity. Michele also donated regularly to the Mount Washington Observatory and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Michele once explained that charitable involvement was her "responsibility". If she has the "ability" to help, her "response" will always be to help. On top of her involvement through AT&T she was also an active volunteer with Dance for the Cure and Ride 4 Erik. She made surgical caps for children at CHOP with her two daughters. When the pandemic hit, Michele handmade over 700 facemasks for the community and the Robert Wood Johnson Nursing Staff in New Brunswick.
Michele enjoyed being outside at her home watching the birds, gardening, and raising butterflies. She was also an avid reader and loved trivia. She was a caring, nurturing person who enriched the lives of everyone around her.
Surviving is her loving husband Kenneth R. Tallman; her beloved daughters Nicole C. Tallman and Jessica L. Tallman; her parents Jim and Joyce (Coyle) Plantz of Elizabethtown, KY; her brother Jamie Plantz, and his wife Lisa, of Simpsonville, SC; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Bill and Peggy Tallman of Englewood, FL, her brother-in-laws Bill Tallman of Jamesburg, and Chris Tallman, and his wife Elizabeth, of Park Ridge.
Friends and relatives may call on Tuesday, March 9th, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. Funeral services will be private. In the spirit of Michele's giving nature we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Mount Washington Observatory at https://www.mountwashington.org/Donate/ and Dance for the Cure at https://www.danceforthecure.org/.
