Matthew J. Borkowski

Matthew J. Borkowski, of Plainsboro, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 65. Born in Passaic, he lived in Brick Twp before moving to Plainsboro.
Matthew had worked for the Brick Public Library. He was an influential and respected writer and musician in the burgeoning poetry scene of New Brunswick and surrounding areas starting in the early 1980's.
Surviving are his daughters Mary Elizabeth Borkowski and Eugenia Borkowski-Sypherd, both of North Carolina; his sister Eugenia Casagrande of Monmouth Jct.; and his granddaughter Paisley Miriam-Ann. He leaves behind many loving friends, including Mary Fitzpatrick Moore and David Roskos.
