Mary Lou Fritsch, of Fords, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Roosevelt Care Center in Old Bridge. She was born in South Amboy and grew up in Metuchen, where she was a Metuchen High School graduate. She lived in Edison before moving to Fords several years ago.

She was a secretary for Correctional Medical Services at Rahway State Prison before retiring. Previously, she worked for the Cerebral Palsy Association in Edison.

Mary Lou was an avid reader. She was a cat lover and a fan of the Rolling Stones.

She was predeceased by her parents Gabriel T. and Alma (James) Zinis, and her brother Kenneth Zinis.

Surviving are her sister Karen Otlowski of East Brunswick, her sister-in-law Kathi Zinis of Waretown, her nieces Gabrielle and Paige, 12 great nieces and nephews, and an number of cousins and her best friend of many years Denise “Dee” Luzack.
