Mary Jane Lucid, of Milltown, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Care One in East Brunswick. She was 92. Born in Perth Amboy, she lived in Metuchen, New Brunswick, and San Diego, before moving to Milltown 68 years ago.
She worked as an administrator at Alexander Library, Rutgers University before retiring. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church in Milltown.
Jane loved to read and enjoyed traveling. Her favorite trip was a cruise to Alaska that she enjoyed with her husband, Frank. She was a skilled quilter and gardener, and she was a wonderful cook.
She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Francis X. Lucid (d. 2009).
Surviving are her sons Edward (Donna) Lucid of Milltown and Frank (Colleen) Lucid of Millstone, her daughters Barbara (Mario) DeFelice of Asbury and Deborah (James) Hom of Wall; her grandchildren Allison McKenna, Caitlin McKenna- Chappo, Caroline McKenna, Sara Lucid and Matthew Lucid; and her great grandchildren Adalyn Jane Kiefer and Cora Jane Hinsey.
Friends and relatives may call on Thursday, January 26th, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, 10:00 am, at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, N. Main St., Milltown. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick.
