Martha "Pat" Rademacher Skarzynski
January 13, 1922 — January 29, 2021
Martha "Pat" Skarzynski, our beloved mother, passed away Friday, January 29, 2021 at Chilton Hospital in Pequannock, NJ. She was born in Bound Brook and lived to the age of 99.
Mom was a stay at home mom until the 1960's when she worked at W.T. Grant in North Brunswick. In 1968 she worked for Johnson & Johnson, Permacel Tape in Milltown for 18 years. She and her husband Stanley both retired in 1986. They travelled to Florida, Branson Missouri, Myrtle Beach and a trip to Mexico. They both enjoyed trips to Atlantic City.
Mom lived in East Brunswick for many years until she needed extra care. She moved to Riverdale, NJ with her daughter Lisa who gave her excellent care. Lisa especially continued the trips to Atlantic City where mom loved playing the poker machines. Mom was with us a long time and she will never go out of our hearts.
She was predeceased by her first husband Jacob Matthew Rademacher (d. 1972) and her 2nd husband Stanley Skarzynski (d. 2004), her daughter Joann Simons (d. 2019) and her grandson Edward Lance (d. 2013), and her sibilings Lloyd, Mary Sue, Ethel, Juanita, Betty Jane and Vivian.
Mom is survived by 3 daughters Susan Wall, and her husband Lawrence of Lanoka Harbor, Mary Jo Henry and her husband Donald of Toms River, and Lisa Rademacher of Riverdale; her son Jacob Rademacher and his wife Madeline of Toms River; her sister Carol Colino of Toms River, and many nieces and nephews.
Mom was blessed with 12 grandchildren: Scott, Susan, Jon, Erin, Kimberly Ann, Edward, Christopher, Stephanie, Jeff, Rachael, Jon and Christina; and 12 great grandchildren: Kristina, Matt, Jake, Lincoln, Caleb, Leah, Kayla, Zachary, Michael, Jason, Landon and Frankie.
Her family was what she cherished the most. Every grandchild and great grandchild had a special place in her heart. Every moment with each one was very special.
Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday, February 3rd, from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, 10:00 am, at St. Bartholomew RC Church, Ryders Lane, East Brunswick. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park in East Brunswick.
