Maria Lucia (Mastrobuono) Calabria, of Piscataway, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at St. Peter's University Medical, at the age of 61 years with her loving husband Joseph P. Calabria by her side.
Maria was born in Ragusa, Italy, and moved to the United States at an early age. She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Catherine (Nistasi) Mastrobuono. Maria worked for Chanel for many years as well as Stop and Shop in the accounting departments.
She was an active member of the Italian American Club and a very active member of St. Mary's Church in New Brunswick where she sang alongside her husband Joseph in the choir.
Maria and Joseph were married 28 years and enjoyed a life full of adventure and frequented Florence Italy, Atlantic City, NJ and other exotic locals in their cruising. The couple were avid cruisers and had a very rich social life filled with family, friends and love. Some of Maria's favorite pastimes included dinner's out with friends, trips to the Jersey Shore, movie nights. She also enjoyed participating in softball and basketball.
Maria is Survived by her husband P. Joseph Calabria, her mother-in-law Lorriane (Evans) Calabria. Brother-in-law Scott Truglio, sisters-in-law Marni Truglio and Elise Truglio. Maria was an only child but had many extended family members.
Public Visitation will be held on Thursday April 21st from 4:00-7:00pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals located 170 N. Main Street, Milltown NJ 08850.
On Friday April 22nd at 10:30AM there will be a funeral mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Milltown. With burial taking place at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick
